Favourite Movies

Last modified on October 31st, 2010

I have a portable hard drive that I’m taking with me on my travels, partially to back up my main laptop from time to time, and partially because it contains a large percentage of my personal movie collection on it.

That said, I’m going to try and get a pile of movies on there that I haven’t seen yet so I have something when I’m on train rides or in hostels and what-not.

So, I’d appreciate it if people can leave a list in the comments of some of their favourite movies, or anything they’ve seen in the last few years they thought was really awesome. Thanks!

Watched Scott Pilgrim vs. The World last night and laughed my way through the whole thing. Delightfully geeky, lots of very subtle visual gags, loved the style!

Also, Fantastic Mr. Fox. Anything Wes Anderson, really. He rocks my socks.

Bubba Ho-Tep is the most amazing movie of all time, seriously.

Drag Me to Hell is hilarious but kinda gross (if you like Sam Raimi stuff like Evil Dead and Army of Darkness than this will go over great).

The Host is great. It is a Korean monster flick, but it’s hilarious fun, action-adventure and a bit heartwarming too! It’s more suspenseful than scary.

The Boondock Saints and, if you’ve seen it, its sequel.

    Star Trek! (The new reboot.)

    The Orphanage.

    The Devil’s Backbone.

    Battle Royale!
