Vancouver WordCamp At The Network Hub

Vancouver WordCamp At The Network Hub
Wednesday, April 30, 2008
/ Around The Web, Events, Vancouver, Wordpress

Tonight is the first ever WordCamp Vancouver down at The Network Hub. WordCamp is a unique event that brings together WordPress enthusiasts with a passion for one of the most widely used blogging packages, WordPress.

The presenters for the night are:

Rebecca Bollwitt: Adding photos to your WordPress blog.
Bruce Byfield: The Joys of Amateur Blogging.

John Chow: How to make money using a WordPress Blog.
Monica Hamburg: Blogging and Social Media.
Jeff Kee: WordPress for total website development.

Greg Andrews: Good Typography in WordPress.
Kulpreet Singh: Using WordPress to create a custom library, catalog, or other mashup-type site.
Duane Storey: WordPress and mobile blogging

As you can see, it’s a really good mix of information. For my talk, I’m going to be focusing primarily on the iPhone, and giving a live demonstration of the WPtouch theme I helped co-develop along with Dale Mugford.

I have an iPod touch. It’s not as cool, but it can browse the web too.

Duane,

It was my first WP Camp or meet-up. I had no idea the breadth of the community. Impressive. Although I had to leave at the break I’m glad I caught both your presentation. I was really impressed with the WPTouch work you did. It was really sharp and well thought out. Congratulations on that.
